Mentoring and Support for
Homeschool Families
About Me.
Hello and welcome! I'm Elizabeth, I'm a wife, a mother, a singer/musician, and I've been homeschooling for over 15 years. I was born in Colorado and spent the majority of my elementary years in southern California, then came back to Colorado in the early nineties and haven't left! I met my husband shortly after highschool and we've been married for over 20 years. I have 5 amazing children, 3 boys and 2 girls. We have one pup and a salamander at this time, and have had gold fish, frogs and one other pup that is in heaven (as far as my kids are concernted). I am a conundrum and in my opinion and contradiction in myself. In other words, I have ADHD, I'm on the Austism spectrum and I struggle with anxiety. I'm also very dedicated to being a Christian and am active in my local church. I would be NOTHING without my Lord and Savior Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

I have began the journey of partnering with families that want to homeschool their kiddos, but they aren't quite sure where to start or just need someone to brain dump on. I have a lot of experience with kids on the spectrum, highly intelligent kids and kids that just can't sit still. I have tried a lot of different methods and I have a braod (but not all encompassing) experience with different types of curriculum.

I would love to meet with you for coffee and discuss all things Homeschooling to see if its a good fit for youe family and help you decide what curriculum to start out with.

Children are EXCEPTIONAL! They are brilliant, talented, funny, observant, unique and interact with the world in their own way. They love to learn! We were made to be curious and creative beings and I want to help you foster and encourage who that. I also want to be here to encourage you on your journey, as it can be isolating and some days it might feel like you're climbing mount everest. We were not created to live in this world without love and support.

Reach out to me if you'd like to meet up in the contact box at the bottom of the page. I can't wait to meet you!
Experience
2001-2002
Unfinished Associate of Arts Degree
I began my journey at Arapahoe Community College. Although I did not graduate, my experience here and the reseach I did in Education, shaped my decision to Homeschool and partner with other mom's who want to Homeschool their children.
This is where I learned how to defend my faith, think critically. I also learned about Death Education and this is where first utilized my right to challenge my professor's syllabus, by respecfully requsting to choose my own writing assignment.
2009-2013
Used an online Charter School for my oldest son
This, although challenging in some ways, was a great experience! This taught me a lot about, what works and what doesn't work, for my son and our family. I also participated in my first ever co-op and learned more about how learning can be achieved even when it's messy, loud and seems unproductive. I also learned that grace and community are a crucial aspect for any homeschool family.
2014-present
Homeschooling the "Traditional" way
I put traditional in quotes to make sure that you know, there is not really a hard and fast rule when it comes to Homeschooling our children. I began to implement a process of trial and error and doing what was best for my kids, even if it was inconvenient or seemed like a lot of work. This was also the time I discovered the phrase, "Less is more" and began to simplify things and create consistent expectations
